The last couple of years have resulted in a new basement and a landscaped yard.

When I was living in MN, I had often dreamed of having a backyard getaway where I could just sit, read, watch my puppy wander, etc. Now, in bug-less Seattle with moderate temps and out of the airport flight path, I can have that. I absolutely LOVE my yard.

My basement project started by accident. The wiring in my house was bad, and I was sure it was going to burn down any day. I hired an electrician, who explained that the ceiling in the basement would have to come down. I got another friend who agreed to re-rock it for me, one thing led to another, and before I knew it, I was in a full remodeling project.
